7 Things you can’t miss in Miami this summer

1| Weekend trip to Key West

Rent a car and take off to the southernmost city in the United States for the weekend. It’s only a 4-hour drive over the scenic Overseas Highway, which streches from Miami to Key West. On the way, you can feed wild Tarpon, fish that can grow up to 8 feet long, or make a stop in Marathon, Florida for the night on your way there. In Key West, don’t forget to do some snorkeling on the shallow reefs and see all of the beautiful wildlife!

2| Take a day off at the Venetian Pool

The Venetian Pool was built in 1923 from an old coral rock quarry and filled with natural spring water from an underground source. It features two waterfalls and a few grottos to play around in, as well as a surrouding garden. It is the only swimming pool on the National Register of Historic places. Visit this pool to experience a piece of Miami history!
